JA Chick-fil-A Foundation Discovery Center . Every year more than 30,000 middle school students from Atlanta Public Schools, DeKalb County Schools, Fulton County Schools and Marietta City Schools have the opportunity to take part in JA BizTown and JA Finance Park.
The JA Discovery Center will house at least 15 different employer-sponsored storefronts to ensure economic and workforce relevance to our region. Classroom lessons are put to the real-life test, as a student becomes a citizen in this simulated economy.
This is the third JA Discovery Center in Georgia, and is located on the grounds of the Alliance Academy for Innovation of Cumming and Forsyth. Products include lava lamps, sound sandwiches, slime, and gliders. The staff can teach the science and technology behind their products to their customers. The Discovery Center also conducts various experiments and records their findings.
